Northeast Neighborhood Health Fair


Northeast Neighborhood Nurses in partnership with St. Charles Church are hosting a health fair March 3rd. The fair will provide health screenings and information to individuals of all ages, including the underserved living in North and Northeast Portland.



The Health Fair, which is free and open to the public, will take place at St. Charles Church, March 3rd. There will be free vaccinations for ages 11 years and older of Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis, Pneumonia, Flu, and Hepatitis B. There will also be healthy living demonstrations, as well as free screenings for diabetes, vision, glaucoma, hearing, and blood pressure. Activities for children will include face painting, a real Fire Truck, a visit from “The Nose”, and prizes.  Representatives from Community Cycling will be providing free minor bike repairs. Bike helmets for $5 with free fitting will also be available.         

The health fair was a collaborative effort organized by Northeast Neighborhood Nurses, a group health care professionals living in the NE area. The Health Fair has been assisted by generous donations from Central Northeast Neighbors Inc., Cully Neighborhood Association, Concordia Neighborhood Association, and MOREL Ink.

NAYA catering service, Home Depot, Providence Hospital, Legacy Hospital’s “Trauma Nurses Talk Tough”, and New Seasons Market of Concordia.
