The mission of the NECN Community Economic Development Council is to promote economic empowerment, inclusion and equity that creates an economically thriving community within the NECN boundaries, and where the benefits of economic growth are shared by all members of the community.
The Community Economic Development Council (CEDC) is a working group considering a wide range of community needs and possible economic tools including:
- Jobs
- Asset creation
- Economic generators
- Small business supports
- Community-based investments
The committee works to gather information, provide education, advocate for solutions and incubate projects to increase economic vitality in our area.
The CEDC meets monthly, on the Fourth Tuesday of each month, from 6:30pm – 8:00pm, at the NECN Office, 4815 NE 7th Ave.
