Land Use and Transportation Committee

The Land Use and Transportation Committee meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm.

May meeting is May 22nd, and will include a rescheduled presentation by BPS of a gentrification study that had to be postponed from April.

The Land Use and Transportation Committee (LUTC) is a composed of N/NE neighbors who discuss land use and transportation issues throughout North and Northeast Portland, as well as regional and statewide. Issues include the Columbia River Crossing, North Williams Traffic Safety Project, N/NE Quadrant Planning, Urban Renewal Areas such as the Interstate Corridor, Neighborhood Greenways, Historic and Conservation Districts, and more!Meets the 4th Wednesday of every month.

The LUTC Committee recommended the following positions to NECN’s Board of Directors for approval prior to sending.

2/3/2010 The Neighborhoods of the Northeast Coalition are bordered by Interstate 5, which is under discussion for a proposal to replace the existing bridge over the Columbia River. 1/25/2011 The LUTC Committee recommended to the NECN Board of Directors that we oppose the inclusion of the Rose Quarter in any expansion of the Interstate Corridor Urban Renewal Area. Click here for a copy of the letter.
